- The Sound Of My Voice/Martha Marcy May Marlene - genre of mystery, drama and psychological thriller and themes of secracy, cults, investigation and corruption which link to our idea.
- Another Earth/The Truman Show - concepts is similar to those in Black Mirror. Both possibilities pin the future and technology highlighting the frightening repurcussions and consequences of such. These films focus on: the discovery of Earth 2 and one man's whole life being a TV show.
- The Hunger Games - similar to The Truman Show as children fighting to the death is broadcast across the country; influences of media and the degradation of society.
Requiem For A Dream - hard-hitting and stylistic execution. We were interested in using various camera and editing techniques in our own trailer.
- Doctor Who (The Empty Child) - to find horror influences, conventions and techniques.
Dead Set - from creator of Black Mirror, Charlie Brooker. Focuses on influences on and from the media which links to our ideas of goverment conspiracies etc. and our main inspiration of Black Mirror.
- Deja Vu - themes of mystery and the unknown plus camera/editing techniques
- Misfits (Series 2, Episode 4) - Video-game influences, violent consequences and effective stylised editing/camera techniques
- A Mother's Son - deals with murder, mystery and influences from online pgraphy
