One hour photo poster research
One Hour Photo Poster Deconstruction.
- The landscape poster shows a collage of negative pictures and a man staring up at them. To a passer by this would look quite strange and the man is right in the middle so would be in eye line. He isn't facing the front though so it adds mystery.
- At the top of the poster is an extreme close up of a man half hidden by a camera showing he is trying to be inconspicuous. He is looking straight forward, so would hold your gaze no matter what angle, it can be inferred that he is the main protagonist.
- The picture has been edited to look like he is red, which could represent the 'developing room' and give out connotations of anger, aggression, and risk which could infer what the film might be about.
- The tagline says 'There's nothing more dangerous than a familiar face' which gives away part of the genre being a thriller as it says 'dangerous,' so something bad will probably happen.
- This poster doesn't follow typical conventions of posters as there isn't one main focus there are two, making passers by look all around the poster, the title is at the bottom also.
- This is a different poster from the same film.
- This shows the main protagonist also, this time he is distracted and looking at a reel of negative pictures.
- The white gloves show he might trying to hide his fingerprints, not wanting to leave a trace.
- The poster sightly follows the conventions of a poster with the main picture and title in the middle.
- There is not a tagline so leaves complete mystery in what the film entails.
