- Use of quirky typography, follows genre of film.
- As Johnny Depp as the main focus as he is a well known actor and people would go see the film as he is in it.
- ‘Tim burton’ film, gives an indication of genre, will be funny and quirky.
- Indication that is fantasy with the big castle in the background, huge mushrooms, and a blue caterpillar. This also shows it is more directed towards children.
Dorian Gray.
- Gothic style typography.
- Main character showing two sides of him: one is perfect, the other broken and tainted, indicating the films content. That it will be about him tainting his life.
- Gothic Church in the background.
- Tagline ‘forever young, forever cursed’ ties in with the picture.
- All very dark colours; blacks, greys, with a stormy sky. Deep red inferring seduction?
- Then bright orange to look like flames cutting right through him as though he is slowly disintegrating
Beautiful Losers.
- Colourful typography. With same colour rain drops as though they have formed the title.
- Butterfly as a whole, with a person in the middle as the body of the butterfly.
- Tagline ‘Make something from nothing’ very positive way at looking at a situation.
- All very colourful random images within the butterfly filling up the spaces.
- Cast and crew names, pictures from the film, and characters all fitted in, with brightly coloured typography and outlines.
- Blue sky in the background, like an actual butterfly flying through the sky, carefree style.
- Black stencilled leaves around the edges, opposite to the rest of the poster, only part which has a negative connotation.
