Why Did We Choose To Deconstruct..? (New Concept)

As we changed our concept considerably, we decided we'd need to do more deconstructions that were relevant to our new idea.

  • Misery - inspirational for lead (obsessed female holds writer hostage)

  • Smiley - features masked villain; useful for our idea of using face make-up to create wounds on victim's face

  • Orphan - 'innocent child' villain; taps into personality of our antagonist especially how she doesn't have a family

  • One Hour Photo - male obsessed with perfect family and collects their photos

  • The Loved Ones - outcast girl steals boys and tortures them in revenge for not being invited to prom; revenge, hostage and torture aspect by girly female similar to our idea

  • The Imposter - documentary features family's side of the story of a man imposing as their son; can draw inspiration from family being tricked and their emotions

  • Jennifer's Body - strong female antagonist with gruesome torture scenes

  • He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not/The Roommate - seemingly innocent but actually psychotic and obsessed female protagonist
