- Two-part drama which follows a family during a period of time where a school girl’s murder is being investigated and the mother grows suspicious about her son’s involvement.

- Teenage son is porn obsessed, moody and self-conscious. His obsession with sex comes out gradually throughout the programme. Examples in the episodes being the damning evidence on his laptop (as shown in screenshots), watching his step sister shower and in his confession at the end of the second episode.
- I looked in specific at two scenes between the two episodes which demonstrated the influence and obsession pornography had on the teenage son, Jamie as we are looking into the theme of obsession.
Episode 1 (41:35-42:10)
- Scene suggests the son’s obsession with pornography as the mother is searching through his internet history to discover pornographic content.
- It is mainly violent and forced sex pornography which suggests to the audience that this is more of a sex obsession due to the disturbing, niche content and also the sheer amount of web searches.
- This scene suggests that the son could be a sex addict to a disturbing extent
- Camera angles in this scene are mostly close ups and extreme close ups showing the laptop screen and reaction shots of the mother’s face.

- Close ups on knife - Jamie often folds it showing unease and looks nervous

Sound
- Seaside noises - seagulls, boat
- Slow piano music runs parallel to mood of scene
- Diegetic dialogue - 'she wouldn't have sex with me, she screwed Sean who's a dog but she wouldn't screw me' - uses 'screw' quite a coarse term for sex, no talk of love for the girl only sex
- 'I've tried to work it out, where that came from, is it you and dad or porn or weed or any of that usual shit people say' - describes the fundamentals of his life being his family, smoking and porn.
